4 simple steps //

Lately I've noticed I will read cook books just the same as I'd read novels. I feel like I earn points (what, like brownie points? pasta points?) whenever a recipe calls for things that are already in my cabinets or fridge. No shopping needed.. bingo, excellent food at my fingertips. A little less points when I'm only missing one ingredient. A trip to the grocery store the next day will solve that, and for a small amount of money. Onward! Today I'm reading Home Made by Yvette van Boven and I am practically drooling over nearly every. single. page. And I'm only on page 59 (of an over 400-page book). The photography is also what drew me in - simply stunning work by Yvette's husband Oof Verschuren. (Seriously though, how can you go wrong with a name like Oof?)

Ok, I guess I'm rambling now and just felt like sharing because the food-ness and photo-ness of this book was inspiring me today. Anyways...

What I really came to tell you about was this new year stuff... all this resolution stuff. It's overdone, right? Aren't we just scared away by those big fat huge goals we set and never stick to anyways? I read this blog every so often and found a past post that inspired me and felt like sharing with you. Really just the very last of this specific post was the jist of it all.. I think it's the kind of thing that is good advice for anyone who wants to change.. well, anything. Right?
